Ohuhu Alcohol Marker Review

featuring Calla Lillies

I have been wanting to buy more Copic markers for a long time but as we all know they are EXPENSIVE, so that led me on the search for an affordable alternative. After recently watched a YouTube video by Nasreen and she had bought the Ohuhu alcohol makers and I thought WHY NOT, so I jumped onto Amazon and decided to purchase the largest set they had available, 80 count.

I was honestly surprised by how much I loved them!

The card on the left above is completely colored with Ohuhu markers. The tags behind her are the Blank Color Tags by Vera Lane Studio, they are perfect for saving some of your favorite marker color blends.

Those lovely ladies on the right are a mix of Ohuhu markers, Inktense to add some additional depth and the background is Brea Reese watercolor ink. As you can see they work beautifully with other mediums as well.

Pros & Cons

  • very juicy markers
  • blends beautifully
  • good mix of light and dark
  • case included
  • bright
  • blends with other markers
  • works with other mediums
  • good variety of colors
  • doesn’t bleed

  • no brush tip (honestly didn’t bother me that much)
  • no refills

Others have said they are not refillable. That being said, they don’t have refills but you could find a color very similar made by Copic and use those as refills. (JMO) Ohuhu markers are super cheap and you could just buy another set, I paid $39.99 for a set of 80!

I will provide a link below to the set I purchased and if you would like to get them as well I would love it if you could use my link. I do get a tiny bit in return 🙂

I would love to know what you think about these truly affordable alternative to Copics. If you have these or plan to get them let me know! Go make something awesome!!
