Pearl & Vidalia | Vera Lane Studio DT Inspiration

Pearl & Vidalia the Onion Heads

Pearl & Vidalia are the new releases from Vera Lane Studio this week. I think they are my new favorite! I have had so much fun over the past month working with these cuties! It’s so hard to not share sometimes. Having to wait until release week…lol especially when they are this freakin cute! These lil onion heads are adorable.

The page above is in my 5.5 x 5.5 art journal and is painted with Latte Date scented handmade watercolors by Designs by Rachel Beth. I love all the warm tones and it smells amazing..wish I could share!

Another art journal page above in my Chic Sparrow travelers notebook in my Kanso Sasshi Tomoe River paper filled insert. If you have not had the chance to play with Tomoe River paper and watercolor paint I suggest you do it! The feel of the paper is amazing and it doesn’t bleed! On this page the background is painted with my favorite Jazper Stardust artisan watercolor paints in the color Indigo. Pearl and Vidalia are painted with Daniel Smith watercolors. Yes that is a cupcake bandaid they are standing on. I found some super cute ones at Target a few weeks ago and thought I could use them in my journals as well.

Digital Fun

I have been coloring/painting alot digitally lately. I am having so much fun with the VLS digistamps and coloring them digitally. I am definitely transitioning to digital planning only but I will always love my traditional watercolors. It is just another medium to me 🙂 I use an iPad Pro 10.5 inch and an Apple Pencil.

The apps I use are:

  • Procreate (this is what I use to color images)
  • Magic Eraser (to remove backgrounds)
  • Goodnotes (pdf annotator)
  • Graphic for iPad (I use this for adding custom fonts/text)
  • Boho Berry Digital Planner (etsy)

I hope you enjoyed my post today.

Go make something awesome!
